Lord, you are our Heavenly Father. We thank you for your sovereignty, you unfailing love for us, your mercy, and your divine grace. You speak to us so gently, offering assurance of your love for us.
My Heavenly Father, you have blessed me abundantly and allowed me to be an earthly father to two boys. Lord, this is such a wonderful and awesome responsibility. I want to raise my sons to live their lives focusing on you and daily living the victory that is ours through Your precious son Jesus.
Help me to always speak lovingly to my sons.
Help me to guide my sons in the path they should go, so they will not depart from Your plan for their lives.
Help me to listen before being so quick to judge.
Help me to be the example you want me and them to be.
Help me to make sure they know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I love them. Not only with words but also with clear actions.
You are an awesome God and Heavenly Father. Give me strength and wisdom to raise my sons according to your will and your purpose.
Thank you for the unspeakable gift of your only son Jesus.
In Jesus name. Amen

Prayer For Those Affected By Hurricane (Katrina)
Father God, You are sovereign. This hurricane is not a surprise to You.
I pray, Dear Lord, for your hedge of protection around those that are now in the midst of this horrible storm.
For those who are already a fatality, I pray for comfort for their families.
I pray for hope and courage and strength to all those involved in the rescue efforts right now.
For those of us who are in the path of the remnants, I pray for protection and perseverance.
Lord, we pray for Your wisdom for our government leaders right now. May they act with compassion as they strive to provide relief as quickly as possible.
I pray for the over 37,000 people who are now homeless and in some type of shelter. May they realize the peace of Your presence in a mighty way. May they be fed, clothed, and kept warm in their make-shift surroundings.
Father, through all this, may Your holy and mighty name be glorified. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father's Prayer For Daughter
Gracious loving Father, I come before Your throne of grace as a believer and understanding the responsibilities I have to my daughter.
Let me be a Godly leader; a servant leader.
Let me imitate the love of Christ and to stand strong against the forces of evil.
Let me speak honestly and with purity.
Let me not provoke my daughter to wrath, but bring her up in the training and admonition of Lord by treating her in such a way that will glorify You.
Let me not be unreasonably severe or criticize her.
To know Him, to serve Him, to honor Him; may my relationship with You and her continue to grow.
Heal the hurts and resentments with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for all You have given me through her life, and help me to never be to busy to show her how much I love her.
In Jesus' name, give me strength, love and patience and use those to Your glory. Amen

Almighty God, I can not begin to say how important to me this trip is, and I need You so much to travel with me. Uncertainties and at risk for accidents are on my mind right now.
Please help me Lord, to be alert.
Please help me Lord, to do all in my power to be safe.
Please help me Lord, to be in constant communication with You.
Please help me, Lord to be appreciative of this trip.
Please help me Lord, to accomplish my purpose in this travel.
Please help me Lord, to prevent unnecessary expenses.
Please help me Lord, to appreciate returning to my home.
Please help me Lord, to be filled with gratitude for Your traveling mercies to me.
May I cause no harm to any one, and may no harm be placed upon me. In safety I will lay down and sleep each evening, and in the morning I will have refreshment from You.
Thank You Lord God that I am never alone when I must travel outside of my comfort zone and place of familiarity.
Go with me and make this trip fruitful and full of accomplishment, through Christ Jesus, who traveled this earth with the familiarity of Your Presence wherever He went. Amen

Prayer For Pain Management
O Lord, I live with such constant pain in my life that at times I can not even think straight. I have learned to call upon Your powerful name when these times overwhelm me and make me feel hopeless and helpless. I recall I was made in Your image, and I pray that You will grant me wholeness in Christ.
That is why I am calling upon You this day. The pain and all that it entails in my life is overwhelming. I ask You, Lord to ease the pain and to help me concentrate on You.
I am not yet fully persuaded that there is nothing I can do to make these times cease and that my case is hopeless, so I turn to You with my petitions.
Help me Lord, to do all that is medically possible to help my condition to limit this pain.
Help me Lord, to do all that is reasonable and possible in my diet, in my exercise and in my prayers to enhance relief of this pain management and condition.
Help me Lord, to not complain and bemoan my circumstances for I believe You will take me to a brighter and safer spot in my walk with You.
Help me Lord, to be compassionate toward those that have a similar burden and help me to accept the cross I carry without comparison.
Help me Lord, to fully rely on You for relief and understanding that I might not be a burden to others.
Help me Lord, to fully turn to You and not to turn to addictions and bondage to cope with my condition.
Almighty God, although I do not understand what Your will is for allowing this pain and condition in my life, I do trust You that You will bring me through it and sustain me. If it might please You to relieve me I would be most grateful and I will not fail to proclaim that You alone are Comforter and Healer.
Grant me grace day by day to live with contentment through this circumstance. Help me not to be bitter, but instead expectant. May You be glorified through my life and this circumstance. Come, O Holy Spirit and comfort me in my need, through Christ Jesus. Amen

Father God, I never in my wildest dreams imagined how difficult and trying being a mother was going to be. Yet, I dare not come before You with a complaint, but with pure thanksgiving that You have chosen me to this calling of motherhood.
Each and every day my child grows and changes. Each and every day my child presents me with challenges. Each and every day my love for my child grows. How it must be, wonderful God, for You who sees us as Your children. I am starting to envision parenthood from what I see in You as Father God.
I can already see the mistakes I have made and the uncertainty of my wisdom to prevent failures. I can already see that this is a 24X7 job. I can already see that at times I am not up to the challenge. But through You I can see that I must not falter or fail.
I may not have all the support I may need, or the help to take over when I tire. But I do know that this child is a gift from You, and I will honor, with all that is within me, the potential of rising to the occasion.
Father, there are so many decisions to be made as my young one grows and inserts their independence. May they know You foremost and desire to please You as they walk in Your will.
Father, may I not displease You with my own personal agenda. May I completely desire that this child be raised in a Godly fashion to know You foremost.
Father, as my way and rules might not always be honored, may I stay as patient as You are with me.
Father, I just come to You as I am and ask You for Your blessings upon my child rearing skills. I do not have all the answers and wisdom and experience it takes, but I do offer my child and myself up to Your throne of grace and ask for Your wisdom and blessings.
Father, I praise and worship You for Your love, and I pray that the wonderful example of my relationship with You be inherited by my beloved child, through the merits of Your only Begotten Son. Amen

Wedding Anniversary Prayer
God the Father, we rejoice on this day, our wedding anniversary. We invite You to fill us with Your Presence. May we always remain grateful for the sanctity of this holy union.
Our path has not always been strewn with roses. We have had our share of difficulties. But they can never outweigh the blessings that You have bestowed upon us.
Thank You, Father God for drawing us together.
Thank You, Father God that our love has grown each year of this union.
Thank You, Father God that our respect of You and each other has increased with each year of our togetherness.
Thank You, Father God that we are both committed to our wedding vows.
Thank You, Father God for the time You have granted to us, and we humbly ask for continuance of days.
We celebrate Your wisdom in designing marriage and we thank You for each other. Grant that we might continue to be supportive and respectful to one another.
As we honor Christ as the head of our household, we can freely ask for Your blessings.
We thank You as we recognize the value of our spouse in Your Kingdom and how we contribute, and we pray that You revitalize us day by day to keep this marriage strong and Godly. May we never fail You or one another.
We are praising You for this wonderful celebration and we are thanking You, in Jesus' name for this day, this year, and all that is yet to be. Amen

Father God, as we prepare to welcome this baby into the world, we pray that Your blessings be upon this child right now. We pray that they even be Holy Spirit filled in the womb. We pray that we realize what a blessing conception is. Thank You, Lord for this baby! Through Your help we are honoring the life of a child we have created. You are a God of miracles.
What exciting news Lord God, that a new life is being brought into this wonderful world. The possibilities of how this little life will grow, and touch, and impact others is overwhelming. May this tiny life and new beginnings be valuable, not just to You but to others. May this life have great potential.
We pray that they be a blessing to all that they will encounter and all that they grow to do.
We ask that they be born in health and would be well in body and mind.
We pray that in the delivery room all might be in perfect harmony with Your will.
We pray for their siblings, if any, and their parents and grandparents that recognize what a blessing this baby is and that they may have strong urges to nurture this child. May their love be instant for this child.
We are thrilled Lord, that you have chosen to bless this family with this life arrival. May we be prepared to give this child our best in all things.
You are awesome and wonderful God, and we pray that blessings be upon this child's life and that our family may dwell in the valley of great expectations before its arrival.
Thank You, Creator God that conception was possible and that Your Word tells us that in the womb You have even knitted the bones together and called them by name. We recognize Your will and instructions in the Bible and is exciting!
Your Word proclaims life. Let all those that rejoice in this upcoming birth cling to You with gratitude for this life that is about to be.
Bless, O Lord as we praise you for this wonderful miracle, through Christ Jesus, Your only begotten Son. Amen

Almighty God, I rejoice that You have gifted me and granted talent to me in the area of healing. I look daily to Jesus Christ, our Great Physician, as to what my life must reflect.
I have an example of Jesus' very words saying: Luk 4:23 "Doubtless you will say unto me this parable, physician, heal thyself." For this reason I look to You and You only for making me not only a healer, but one that walks in integrity according to Your divine will.
Saint Luke was recorded in the Bible as being the beloved physician. He also educated himself and followed the path of Jesus. May I always do likewise.
Lord, people look up to me; may I set a Godly example.
Lord, people depend on me; may I not disappoint them.
Lord, people come seeking healing; may I not fail them.
Father God, my life is in Your hands and the many that come to me have placed their lives in my care based upon my knowledge and skilled abilities.
May I affect their life for good.
May I bring to them Your healing power.
May I be free in my profession to proclaim Your glorious name.
May I never fail or forsake You or others because I have had personal reasons to not excel or to let my guard down.
May I continue my education and knowledge to stay advanced in the latest medical marvels available.
May I diagnose with wisdom.
May I treat all with dignity and respect.
May I never fail to proclaim that my life is dedicated to You.
May I never be hasty or rude.
May I always keep in mind that You who has called me to this great undertaking, will always prevail that Your will be done.
May I accept the outcome of all my patients with the humility of knowing You are in control.
Lord God, bless not just me, but all that seek treatment through me. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone. Amen

Prayer For Job Interview/Promotion
Heavenly Father, I am nervous and doubting my capabilities before this interview for a job. I know that there will be other candidates and I wonder if I will stand out as a good choice?
I am not willing to compromise my Christian witness and I hope I will shine as Your Word exhorts me to do.
I pray that my answers will be thoughtful and sincere as I face the interviewer.
I pray that You will be with me and grant me the wisdom that comes from intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
I pray that I will give a great first impression which occurs within the first few moments.
I pray that I do not rely on my own wit, but lean on You instead for intelligent answers.
I pray that I do not on the other hand come across as arrogant.
I pray that if the opportunity arises for this chance or a second interview that I might not only be willing but up to the occasion.
I pray above all that this job or promotion be in Your highest will for me.
I pray that I might serve You there.
I pray that You grant me a humble spirit to accept the outcome of this interview. I want to serve You in the work world, in all that I do. I know quite well the Scripture that says, Psa 75:6 "For neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor yet from the south, comes promotion. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and lifts up another."
I want this Lord, but I want Your perfect will more and I pray, Almighty God that You have judged me and found me capable of accepting Your will in this matter, in Christ Jesus' name. Amen
