Lord God, this is the single most important event of my life so far. I am contemplating marriage and I bring my engagement to You seeking Your blessings on this upcoming event.
I want to be in Your will, and I want this to be a marriage that is until death do us part. I want to know that this is the life-long partner that You have chosen for me. I want the innumerable blessings that You bestow upon man and wife who sets Christ Jesus up as head of the household.
I have much to learn not only about marriage and relationships, but also why this engagement period is called "a cooling off period."
I want to be blessed and I want my fiancee to share in those blessings. We both desire that problems now be aired and worked through before we join together in the sacred bonds of matrimony.
I am making a commitment to bond with my fiancee's family. I want to belong and yet I desire that they should support our relationship with You as well as the sacredness of marriage. I want to enjoy this period of my life. I want to be confident that it is Your highest will for me. I want to be at peace about the many upcoming plans and decisions that will have to occur before the marriage.
Lord God, I throw myself at Your mercy and I ask that You guide me through this unknown territory. Speak clearly Lord and remove any scales I might have on my eyes. Bless my fiancee with the same desires. Make this a memorable period in our life as we place ourselves into Your loving care. Bless us with those that will guide and instruct and mentor us. We thank You, Lord God that You have designed marriage and that this one will be blessed if we continue to follow You, through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen

Prayer For Unanswered Prayers
Lord God, I come before You with a list of unanswered prayers. I know that You are not a man that I should need to remind You. It is for my assurance I mention these requests to You.
I have heard wonderful accounts of prayers not being answered until that person was in heaven with You. For example: A praying mother for the salvation of their wayward child. Perhaps I will not realize the answers until I am called home with You.
I have the faith to believe You hear and do answer all prayers spoken in the name of Jesus Christ. I wrestle with myself making sure that my prayers are not unwise as James wrote about. Jam 4:3 "You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it in your pleasures."
I wrestle with myself to know that I am walking in obedient faith. Mic 6:8 "He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"
I have done as David did and asked to be revealed secret sins which may block my answers. Psa 19:12 "Who can discern his errors? Clear Thou me from hidden faults."
Lord God, I have hidden Your Word in my heart and I know that You work together all answers for the good of people that love You and are called by Your name.
By Your grace, help me to stand firm in my prayers, faith believing, and trusting in You to the fullest that my petitions will be granted in Your perfect time and will, through the merits of Christ Jesus. Amen

Almighty God, Master of mysteries, we turn to You for this mysterious tool we have, our computer which is acting up and we might say ill.
We confess we know so little about bytes or bits, or RAM or ROM. We know that this instrument is sometimes entirely foreign to us including its language. Right now, we do know that it is acting up and needs either adjustment or repair.
This computer needs human aide and I ask that you equip me, or at least point me in the direction of someone who will be able to tweak it to performance again.
I pray you grant me patience and remove this frustration from me so that I might be logical in defining its needs.
I pray that it might be something simple and not expensive.
I pray that you keep me online or functional until the problem is solved so that I might complete my responsibilities.
I pray for Your wisdom and power to enable this computer to be usable once more.
Some would say it is ludicrous to pray over this computer, but Lord You know I use it to Your glory, and I will make mention to You of my need.
Help me, Almighty God as I do proclaim this computer to be Holy Spirit powered through Christ Jesus alone. Amen

Almighty God, we know You hold the universe in the palms of Your hands. We know that You can bring rain to our parched land and this is our humble plea before Your throne of grace.
Prophets of old and men of God have called upon Your name to bring rain upon the land in due season. We join now in united prayer and we ask that You bless us with necessary rainfall.
We have specific instruction in Your Holy Word:1Ki 8:35 "When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them: then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people when thou teachest them the good way wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance."
We begin by confessing our sin. We have failed as we planted crops to pray for a Godly yield through Your Name only. We have thought we would have abundance without calling upon You. Forgive us Lord, for we have sinned.
We have failed to reach out and feed the hungry as Jesus commanded us to do. We were concerned about our needs foremost. Forgive us Lord, for we have sinned.
We have failed to give a cold cup of water in the name of Jesus to those that have thirsted. We failed to supply the necessary means of bringing water to those who have droughts and insuffient resourses in other parts of the world. Forgive us Lord, for we have sinned.
We have not proclaimed Your name as commanded to do. We have not shouted the Good News of Christ Jesus from the housetops. We have robbed You of the glory Your name deserves. Forgive us Lord, for we have sinned.
We pray Your forgiveness upon the land and of the many ways as individuals and as country we have failed to recognize Your divine hand. We ask now that You might favor us with rainfall that our wells might be full, that our crops might yield a harvest, that our bodies of water might have sufficient supply.
We ask You to open the heaven's as we prepare to receive. We lift our eyes upward to heaven and we await Your favor once more upon us. Shower us, Lord, in Your mercy granted through Jesus Christ. Amen

Alzheimer Advocacy Prayer
Lord God, I am an Alzheimer victim. I am a victim because what I cherish most, my mind, has been robbed from me. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I can no longer fend for myself. Simple chores and duties are now done by others. I can not even dress or undress unaided. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I can no longer balance my finances. I am at the mercy of others to be fair in my finances.Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
Transportation on my own has been given up long ago. I depend on others to get me to necessary appointments. That alone is humbling. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I do not know how to cook a meal and depend on people to serve them to me. I don't even know when I am thirsty and I require others to pour my fluids and to remind me to drink. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
Entire sections of my memory has been obliterated and others become quite frustrated at these key events gone in my life. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I can only respond to simple commands, one at a time. Others become quite disturbed that the smallest task is left undone by me because directions were not kept simple and repeated until I could understand it. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
Safety is such a big issue for me. Doors have to be locked and as much care that is taken protecting an infant is now my lot in life. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
My bodily functions rarely co-operate with my hygienic needs. It is most embarrassing to be as helpless as a baby. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I cannot remember names, or who people are. I cannot even remember five minutes after they leave that they were here to visit me. Yet Lord, I am starved for companionship and visitors to interact with. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I am argumentative because I feel so frustrated at the many things I cannot do. I still can see others amusement if not alarm over me. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
My appetite has been removed from me. My taste buds no longer can discern the difference between foods. Yet I am told to clean my plate. I would love to be able too, but the desire is gone. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
I take so many medications to keep me alive and to keep me functioning, or so I am told. I find it difficult to swallow and I cannot understand why I am taking pills that make no sense to me and to my wellness. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
My physical abilities continue to decline. From cane, to walker, to assistance and I know from seeing others I will be bound to a wheelchair, and perhaps bedridden next. It saddens me to lose a special joy such as walking. Lord, in Your mercy do not forget me.
Lord God, I am hesitant to come before You with all these complaints, yet I have no recourse but to be honest before You. I beseech You to be merciful to me, to allow me to retain some quality of life and to always grant that in my spirit, the place where You dwell, that I might always have an interest in You. You are my Lord and God, and I ask that You watch over me and send to me those that understand Christian compassion as Jesus' would. Help me through this valley of the shadow of death, through our Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Amen

Prayer For Death Of Stillborn/Infant
Grief in our heart brings us before You, Almighty God. The fight for life in this infant is over with. Their life has been denied. This infant has given up at the invitation to earthly living and now rests in Your care in heaven.
We can not begin to realize the battle for this baby that was waged. We cannot begin to ever forget the life and hopes that was given to us so very briefly. We cannot begin to forget the pain within us of this young one never given a chance to experience life in fullness.
We pray for the birth mother and father who are so terribly hurt at this loss. We pray for the years that are robbed from them. We pray that the memories stolen can somehow be replaced with other fond memories. We pray that they can pass through death to living again in their lives.
We pray that people surrounding this life do not shun themselves from this loss, but participate in this grief with compassion and Godly strength to minister to the parents.
We pray that we know no other path or comforts but Jesus, who although He knew suffering, also desired that the little ones be gathered unto Him.
We pray, O Holy Spirit, who is also called our Comforter, that You might be pre-eminent and comfort those that grieve the loss of this infant. Apart from You we have no hope of words that will suffice. Apart from the anger and denial we feel, we know that You can work through these issues with us.
Receive this baby in the Kingdom of heaven and comfort the parents. Keep them in Your arms. Send those that understand and can empathize.
We hold You to the promise that those that mourn are blessed. Grant the mourners in this pregnancy hope eternal that it was Your will, understood or not, that desired this child to be with You, through our Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen

Father God, our youth are so very important to us, as they are to You. We have the privilege of bringing those in our Youth Group before Your throne of grace and ask for Your guidance and protection.
In John 21:15, Jesus specifically said, "Feed my lambs." He intentionally placed His priority above the adult sheep. He pointed out the care they should receive from us.
Our youth is our priority. We pray first for all those that volunteer their time, love and direction toward feeding and nurturing these lambs. They are so very impressionable and they have so many temptations placed upon them in their teen years. Father God, we pray that the workers who will be involved in their lives be wholly dedicated to You. We pray they do no harm. We pray that their love and actions be genuine and with concern.
We pray for our church who encourages our interaction with our youth. We pray for the leaders continuous support of our activities and that they continue to encourage and exhort us to maintain a high level of spirituality. We pray that they support us in their budget and in the material we can provide.
We pray for the parents of our youth. We ask that they be supportive of their children at home and through the church. We pray that they work with the spiritual leaders of the group to provide these children with the strongest line of offense and defense in keeping our youths interested in the Kingdom of God.
We pray for the youths themselves that they might be stimulated by what we offer them. As they age and desire to move away from a Youth Group, we pray that You will brand them with Your love and continue to grace them with adventures in Your Church. We pray that they will be receptive to the Gospel and that they might resist peer pressure to abandon their walk of faith.
Dear Lord, please bless all that mentor and all that receive that Your Kingdom on earth might flourish, through Christ Jesus alone. Amen

Almighty God, we read with interest while guiding the Israelites You called forth their army. You ordained this institution. You alone numbered them. You equipped men for battle. And when there was peace in the land they had rest.
Once a year we celebrate those on Veteran's day that have dedicated themselves to service in the military and we choose to recognize them and honor them by prayer. Some in our country wear poppies or give our veterans lapel flags, but we choose to pray that they be chosen to receive love and recognition by You.
We pray for all those men and women that have served in our military and have finished their tour of duty. We rejoice that they are now safely home. We know that the majority of them have come home with lives changed. We pray Lord that You continue to guide them and to minister to their needs.
We pray that our country always honors our veterans and provide special service and benefits to them. We pray favor upon them for their sacrifice to the good of our country.
We pray that through their memories and account of their service our younger people may be inspired to follow in their footsteps.
Thank You, Lord for watching over our veterans. We ask Your favor to rest upon these special men and women, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Lord God, foremost we thank You for the gift of eternal life given through Your Son Jesus Christ. We thank You for His sacrifice and the plan You have that we might dwell with You in eternity we depart this earthy body.

Lord God, we thank You for the abundance of food we have and can share with others. We thank You that You have blessed our crops and for the ease we have in providing food for our families. We thank You that we do not go to bed hungry each night.
Lord God, we thank You that this is a rich nation. We may be tempted to complain of our wealth or social standing, but Lord we have abundance and we recognize your financial blessings upon us.
Lord God, we thank You for our health and the richness of available doctors, hospitals and medications. We thank You for these marvels that enhance our life expectancy. We thank You for the strides made in medicine that can provide quality of life.
Lord God, we thank You for our modern conveniences and our advances in technology which eases our lifestyles and makes us more productive. We thank You for the blessings You have bestowed in these areas.

Lord God, we thank You for our churches, our neighbors, our families and our friends who keep our lives stable and enrich us. We pray that You might continue to shower blessings upon them all.
Lord God, there is so much to be thankful for. Help us to have a gratitude attitude 365 days a year. Help us to continue to proclaim Your name to all. Thank You, Lord God for all You are to us, through Your blessed Son, Christ Jesus. Amen

Almighty God, in the name of Your Son, the sinless One, I renounce the devil and all his works and especially during this demonic active season which we call Halloween. We desire to go into the enemy's camp and take back what was stolen from us--our heritage and blessings in the name of the Lord.
Perhaps when growing up we were taught this was a fun holiday for children. Schools, neighbors, clubs and even churches celebrated in some specific manner. But now that we are spiritually equipped we see the increase in demonic activity that this holiday has and we have no desire to contribute to it with careless actions or placing ourselves in the path of ungodly influence.
By the power of Christ within us we rebuke the forces of evil and its design to entrap us in idol worship and denial of Your name. What we saw as harmless we have experience the ill effects of evil intentions against us, our church and our society.
Forgive those who are called by Your name who have somehow participated in elevating the works of the devil in any manner. Forgive us who have not thwarted his plans and by not coming up with an alternative activity that is safe for our children, for those that have bought the ungodly symbols to denote this season and for those of us that have not watched and prayed as Jesus exhorted us to do.
Draw those to You who have not yet declared holy war against participation in this satanic holiday. May we find You pleased with our desire to not bow our knee to the evil one.
Bless and protect all that take a stand for Your Kingdom.
Send your ministering angels to provide a hedge of protection around each believer throughout the increase of this evil activity. We proclaim the blood of Christ which defeated satan at Calvary.
We choose this day to serve You. Protect and provide, Almighty God and equip us to stand strong in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen
