Dear Lord, my body and my mind are failing me in my advancing years. The Bible says in Job 5:26 "Thou shall come to thy grave in a full age." I do not know what a full age is. I do know that I am no longer with health at my age and in my activities.
I ask You, Lord to keep my spiritual relationship with You in tact that I might continue to honor You.
I ask You, Lord that You lead me through the valley of the shadow of death that David spoke about.
I ask You, Lord that You keep me from being a victim to those that prey upon the elderly.
I ask You, Lord that You keep me from being a burden to my loved ones.
I ask You, Lord that You grant me the humility to accept the limitations that old age seems to bring.
I ask You, Lord that You give me strength to live out the days that You have ordained for me without resentment toward You or my circumstances.
I ask You, Lord that when You extend that invite to come meet You face to face at last that I do not cling to extra-ordinary means of prolonging my life.
Make me comfortable in my homecoming Lord. I do not want to be obstinate and cling to a false hope of renewal when life ebbs from me.
Help me Lord, to be still valuable in my end days that I might possibly bless others and show dignity as life comes to an end.
Help me Lord, to be faithful to the end. I recall Your Word says in Ecc 7:8 "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof; and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit."
Help the end of my life me better than my birth was. Help me to celebrate this time and help me to be patient as the ending of my life progresses.
I humbly cling to You alone in my time of need. Keep me in Your will, through the merit of Your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen

As we gather for this meal, we are reminded that the Bible tells us whether we eat, or drink, whatsoever we do, it is to glorify You.
We take this time to thank You for this meal.
We take the time to thank You for Your Presence at this meal.
We take the time to thank You for the abundance of food.
We take the time to thank You for the variety and flavor.
We take the time to thank You for this time together sharing food with others.
We take the time to thank You for the nourishment that food provides our body with.
We take this time to thank You that we are in health and have our appetites.
We take the time to thank You for the rich bounty in our life that provides us with this meal.
Jesus took food and blessed it before distributing it. We ask Your blessing, Father God upon this food and special occasion.
Thank You for Your provision to us, in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer To End Abusive Relationship
Almighty God, I am in such need. I throw myself on Your mercy and ask for Your help and strength in freeing me from this abusive relationship.
I am exhausted and drained and do not know how to escape this vicious cycle. My mind was so overwrought in survival that it took a long time for me to realize I have been abused verbally, mentally, emotionally, spiritually,
sexually and physically. My self-esteem is at an all time low.
I know that this is not Your will for me. I know that nothing good remains in this relationship. I know that I will need divine strength from above to make my exit.
I recall Jesus said, "But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next." It is truly time for me to move on and leave behind the terror and fear that keeps me from functioning as a whole person.
Almighty God, I just don't know how to do this. I just have so much anxiety in breaking free and in starting over. I need You to give me a sound mind and a plan of action. I need support and aid from others, and I need to forgive myself for clinging to this relationship for so long.
I implore You, God to set me free.
I implore You, God to help me to plan a safe exit.
I implore You, God to daily guide me.
I implore You, God to give me sanity and peace.
I implore you God to help me financially to relocate and support myself.
Help me, Lord through this transition period and lead me into a land that has promise. Help me, in the name of Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen

Dear Lord God, today is a day of thanksgiving and celebration for my loved one. I pray for a special blessing upon this person today on the occasion of their birthday.
We are told in Your Word that yet while this one was in the womb You were thinking of them. You knew them. You ordained their life. You even knit their bones together. The Bible gives us quite a description of how You celebrate life!
Untold blessings have come to us from knowing them. I celebrate their life today. I ask You to let them know how valuable they have been in my life. How instrumental in teaching me love. They have accepted me and richly blessed my life. I desire, dear Lord for You to make this day special for them.
For these reasons I pray to You, O Creator, that you make this a special day of remembrance.
For these reasons I pray to You, O Creator that You look upon them with favor and continue to enhance their life.
For these reasons I pray to You, O Creator, that you extend their life.
For these reasons I pray to You, O Creator that You grant them health throughout the coming year.
For these reasons I pray to You, O Creator that they might know the depth and height of Your love and mine.
Bless, O Lord this favored one and let all rejoice that knows them on this special day. We ask mindful of the joy we have in celebrating Christmas each year, commensurating our Savior Jesus' birth. Amen

Prayer For Closer Walk With God
Gracious God, I seem to be stuck in my comfort zone. I feel a drifting away from You and a tug toward more and more secular events. I do not feel that joy and excitement I first felt when I turned to You and You rescued me.
My heart burned with desire to know You better. To talk to You. To walk with You. To tell others of this perfect love I found. To hunger for Your Word.
I note this lack of closeness is my choice, not Yours. I know that You created man for fellowship with You. I have chosen to hide and distance myself. I am repenting right now.
I recall that David the psalmist asked You to restore the joy of his salvation. I also recall how Jesus warned us to return to our first love with Him. Lord God, I pray for this.
I am nothing apart from You. I am nothing without Your closeness. I am nothing if I am not doing the works that You have called me to do.
Free me from busyness and good works that are occupying my time but that are not glorifying You. Draw me into a closer relationship. Restore unto me the years that the locust has eaten. Save me from worthlessness.
I ask You, O Lord to grant me a closer walk with You. Hold my heart and my attention so that this might be accomplished. Forgive me for straying and help me to be as attentive to Your needs as You are to mine.
I love You, God. Forgive my absence in saying this more often. I know it is Your will to draw me close to You, and I thank You for second chances, through the shed blood of Christ Jesus. Amen

Grant us leaders, O God, after Your own heart and according to Your will.
In days of old You chose prophets and judges and kings. You equipped them and empowered them to rule. For this reason we pray for the leadership of others, that they might know You and rule in a Godly manner.
We pray, O God, for Your wisdom to be upon them.
We pray, O God, that their conscience can be touched by the Holy Spirit.
We pray, O God that they might fear You as they accept the responsibility of leadership.
We pray, O God, that they might be fair and impartial following the lead of what is best for the people on a whole.
We pray, O God, that they might not fail in their chosen office.
We pray, O God, that support is raised up for them for counsel and assistance in their rule.
We pray, O God, that they look toward the day when their duty is done, and in their heart they know they ruled with Your divine wisdom and fairness.
We ask that leaders be raised up for us, and that they might rule with compassion and fairness to all, through Christ Jesus who is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Amen

Proverbs 12:10 -- "The righteous man regards the life of his beast."
God the Creator, how can we thank You for introducing animals into our lives? They are so very unique and special. Some have been the greatest companionship that we have ever experienced.
God the Creator, we ask Your blessings upon our pets. We ask for health and longevity for them.
God the Creator, we ask for ourselves infinite patience and love in dealing with these creatures.
God the Creator, we ask that You cause us to always regard the life of our pets as we decide their needs, feed and medical care.
God the Creator, help us to never forget the great care You have entrusted us in with these animals. May all our actions be humane always.
God the Creator, when it is time to say goodbye to our beloved pets, grant us hope that as a good service animal You might have a special place for them in heaven, as well as in our hearts.
Bless our pets that we love, in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer For Unspoken Requests
Lord God, our heart is so burdened at this moment that we can not even speak words that would describe our situation. We feel such turmoil and distraction that we can not even ask others to pray for us. But You know, gracious God. You hear. You receive. You understand. You answer as promised in Your Word.
We pray how You have taught us to pray, dear God: Rom 8:26 "And in like manner the Spirit also helps our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
We are groaning Lord, in this request. We do not know how or what to ask You. We do know that we want Your highest will in our lives and for this reason we turn this request over to You and ask You to fulfill it to Your glory. Help us to trust You completely as we do not know which way to turn but to You alone.
Although the words would not come readily, Your precious Presence is here to sustain me, and on that I lean.
Sweet Holy Spirit, guide us in our requests as You search our hearts. Make us alert to Your whisperings and receive our simple unspoken prayer, with mighty results, in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer For Addiction Deliverance
Almighty God, You sent Jesus to set the captives free. We know His power and we know His might. We ask that You deliver us from all addiction and bondage that has kept us from being and doing our best. This sin is repulsive and we can no longer tolerate it. My life will turn for better if I just apply this prayer!
We ask that You break the bond that ties us to the flesh, and release us to walk in the Spirit. We ask for sanity to rule in our life and not our next fix.
We seek You to favor and bless us as we return to You. You have a calling on our life and You shall be Victor and Master. We submit to You knowing that You alone can set us free.
We seek peace and patience as we work the issues that bind us. We pray also for those that have bore the hurt of watching our life depreciate. May they forgive us for the many hurts we have hurled at them because we could not control our physical and emotional needs over this addiction.
We are so entrapped in this habit that we can not even see the light of day. We recall how a man came to You and when asked if he believed You could perform deliverance, he responded, "I believe; Help Thou my unbelief."
We are praying that simple prayer also Lord. Set us free and grant us the belief to see this miracle and see our lives restored to normalcy.
We return to the simplicity of the Lord's prayer as we ask, "Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil."
We have reached the end of our rope and now we cast our cares upon You and ask with the faith of a little child for help. One prayer at a time. One day at a time. One victory at a time. One moment of freedom at a time.
We ask You, dear Lord, to be a place of refuge during this grueling time. Send us Your help. Let us arm ourselves with strength and hope and help of others that will companion with us and give us sound and Godly advice. We believe in miracles and we believe we will praise Your name for this deliverance through Christ Jesus. Amen

Father God, Your Word states that You desire us to be in health. There are verses that proclaim we are healed by Christ's stripes. There are countless examples of Jesus healing many diseases. We believe that You are the same yesterday, today and forever.
For these reasons we pray for our health, that You might make us well and whole. We pray for our physical well being and healing of any abnormalities that we have in our bodies.
We pray, Almighty God that You help us to examine if there is a course of action that we should take to enhance our health.
We pray, Almighty God that Godly doctors will indeed guide us to courses of treatment if available.
We pray, Almighty God to unearth if our nutrition or diet is lacking in essentials.
We pray, Almighty God to examine our inward man and to eradicate any stress or unforgiveness which manifests in a physical ailment.
We are often blinded to ways that we can improve our health and we pray for insight if there is any area that we can indeed enhance. And once we have done our part, we pray for the Great Physician, Jesus to heal us and make us whole.
We thank You, Father God now for the gift of health and we stand firm that this is Your desire for us. Send forth Your Word to heal, through Christ Jesus. Amen
